The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Crazy-For-Books and is now being hosted by Coffee Addicted Writer. Every Friday, a new question is posted for bloggers to answer during the week. The purpose of the Book Blogger Hop is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and maybe even receive some new blog followers.
This week’s question is:
Do you listen to audiobooks with earbuds or headphones?
(submitted by Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer)
This feels like a very specific question that I haven’t given much thought to.
I’m not big on audiobooks because I find that I have a difficult time concentrating when I listen to them because I’m easily distracted. When I do listen to audiobooks, I use earbuds because that is the only thing that I have. While headphones are probably “safer” or “healthier” I find that they’re too bulky and I don’t listen to audio through earbuds or headphones often enough to justify the cost of a decent pair of headphones.
When I’m out walking, I rarely have earbuds in because I enjoy taking in the sounds of the outside world. When I’m listening to music at home, I usually just use the speakers on my laptop because I don’t like listening to things that loudly so it doesn’t disturb the other people in my household.
I also prefer earbuds to headphones because sometimes I’ll listen to an audiobook before bed and I find it easier to lay down with earbuds in.
