Weekly Wrap-Up – 2 April 2023

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to my weekly wrap-up, where I talk about any bookish or life things that happened during the week.

Weekly Wrap 1

I have bookish updates this week!

I finally finished reading The Girl Who Drank the Moon by Kelly Barnhill. Though it took me a while to get into this book, I really enjoyed it. The story had a lot of layers and I’m still processing all of the different aspects of the story. I’m very glad I finished this one and I think I’ll read more middle grade books by this author. I also read Evil Under the Sun by Agatha Christie. I read this book yesterday and I think reading a book in a day should help me get back into the swing of things.

As far as new books go, Vera Wong’s Unsolicited Advice for Murderers by Jesse Q. Sutanto arrived this week. I’ve loved the other books I’ve read by this author and I can’t wait to meet Vera.

Weekly Wrap 2

On Sunday, I went to see my boyfriend. He cooked a wonderful dinner and we had a nice evening together.

Work this week was very unbalanced. The first half was relatively slow, but Thursday and Friday were a bit chaotic.

Friday night was book club night. We discussed The Girl Who Drank the Moon and we decided that we’re going to read The Book Eaters next month.

I’ve also been working on some more behind the scenes things for BBNYA this week and I’m getting excited for this year’s competition.
