T5T Anticipated Q2 23

Hello everyone!

Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme created by Bionic Bookworm, and it’s now hosted by Meeghan Reads. If you’re interested in participating, check out their wonderful blog to get the details and the prompts for each week!

This week’s Top 5 Tuesday topic is Anticipated Reads for April to June 2023. The timing of this topic is perfect because I recently pre-ordered a bunch of books that I’m very excited for.

Nic Blake and the Remarkables: The Manifestor Prophecy by Angie Thomas (April 4, 2023) – This book is Angie Thomas’ Middle Grade debut and I’m very excited for it. I’m a fan of middle grade books in general and I will take all of the middle grade magic I can get my hands on. I also love middle grade stories that are based on folklore and this one is inspired by African American history and folklore.

The Plus One by Mazey Eddings (April 4, 2023) – I haven’t read any books by Mazey Eddings yet, but I’m excited to read this one because it involves a fake wedding date. I enjoy fake dating in general, but there’s something about bringing a fake date to a wedding that brings me an immense amount of joy. I also love the cover of this one, which is an added bonus.

The Plus One

Skandar and the Phantom Rider by A.F. Steadman (April 27, 2023) – I read Skandar and the Unicorn Thief last year and I really enjoyed it. This is the second book in the series promises new threats arising. I’m looking forward to revisiting the Eyrie and the characters in this world and I’m hoping for another fun adventure.

Love, Theoretically by Ali Hazelwood (June 13, 2023) – After loving The Love Hypothesis and Love on the Brain, it’s safe to say I’m an Ali Hazelwood fan. Her STEMinist romances are so much fun and I need more of them in my life. Even though I know this book will be similar to her other books, I’m still very excited to read this one.

Love Theoretically

The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Poston (June 27, 2023) – I read The Dead Romantics earlier this year and I loved it. It made me feel so many emotions and I’m looking forward to feeling all the things when I get my hands on this book. This book does feature a time slip, which makes me a bit nervous, but I’m sure it will be wonderful and an enjoyable read.
