Hello Everyone!
The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Crazy-For-Books and is now being hosted by Coffee Addicted Writer. Every Friday, a new question is posted for bloggers to answer during the week. The purpose of the Book Blogger Hop is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and maybe even receive some new blog followers.
This week’s question is:
What is your go-to website to check out book reviews?
(submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver’s Reviews)
I have a confession to make. I don’t rarely read book reviews before I start a book. I like being surprised by what I read and I find that reading reviews has too high of a risk of either spoiling things or influencing my opinion about the book. Instead, most of my book recommendations come from people saying “oh, this book was good, you should read it!” or by being easily distracted by pretty covers. When I do read book reviews, I generally look at Goodreads first. I like that it’s easy to sort the reviews by star ratings because that makes it easy to see what people loved and hated about a book.

I’m very wary of reading too many reviews before I start a book and I never read long reviews as I find that they just give too much away. I do love reading reviews of books that I have read though.
