Today is supposed to be Top 5 Tuesday, but I can’t think of anything for this week’s prompt so I’m doing a book tag instead! I found the April Showers Book Tag on ZeZeeWithBooks and it seemed fitting because the weather has been a roller coaster here. This tag was created by Beyond the Book Reviews and Mad for Books, Luv.

The first book that came to mind for this question is The House in the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune. I absolutely adore the cover of this book, especially the teal and pink sky.
What’s a classic novel you’d like to curl up on the couch with?
I would gladly spend the day curled up on the couch with an Agatha Christie novel. I don’t know if all of her novels are considered classics, but they are excellent for reading on a rainy day.
Share a scary book you would read during a rain storm:
I think a twisty thriller like Daisy Darker by Alice Feeney would work well during a rainstorm, especially because the book itself takes place during some bad, rainy, weather.
What’s a good book rec for rainy days?
I think any book can be good for a rainy day. Personally, I like reaching for something cozy and I think a book like Legends and Lattes by Travis Baldree (which I haven’t read yet) could be a good choice.
What two characters would you like to spend a rainy day with?
I think it would be fun to spend a rainy day with Lucy from The Hating Game by Sally Thorne and Florence from The Dead Romantics by Ashley Poston. I think it would be a lot of fun to sit around, drinking tea, and talking about bookish things for hours during a rainy day.

What book has a rainy setting at some point?
If I remember correctly, The American Roommate Experiment by Elena Armas has a rainy setting at one point.
What book would you not mind using as an umbrella?
I don’t think I want to use any book as an umbrella? I don’t think a book would do much to shelter me from the rain and then I would have to deal with a wet book.
Which character would you like to share an umbrella with?
I wouldn’t mind sharing an umbrella with Aaron from The Spanish Love Deception. He seems like a gentleman and he’s much taller than I am, so chances are he’d keep me safe from the rain.
Share a novel with a dry beginning but AMAZING ending:
It took me a while to get into The Girl Who Drank the Moon by Kelly Barnhill but I quite enjoyed the ending. I wouldn’t say it was amazing, but it was definitely worth pushing through the slow beginning.
