Welcome to my weekly wrap-up, where I talk about any bookish or life things that happened during the week.
This is going to be a fairly short bookish update. I’m currently reading Vera Wong’s Unsolicited Advice for Murderers by Jesse Q. Sutanto. It’s such a fun book and I’m hoping to have it finished tonight.
I’m officially on a book buying ban this month, but some of my books I ordered last month arrived this week, including Skandar and the Phantom Rider by A.F. Steadman, Rule of Wolves and King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo.
I am so happy because the nice weather is finally here!
I spent most of my day yesterday outside doing yardwork. I cleared out all of the leaves hanging around from last autumn, mowed the lawn, and started hacking away at some branches that needed to go.
On Friday night, I video chatted with one of my best friends. We discussed The Book Eaters because the book club for that book got pushed back to the end of May and we wanted to talk before we forgot everything.
On Tuesday, I met up with a friend who I haven’t seen in a while for coffee. It was nice catching up with them, but I seriously do not recommend decaf espresso.
Work this week was busy and I’m hoping that things start to calm down soon.
