Hello everyone!
Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme created by Bionic Bookworm, and it’s now hosted by Meeghan Reads. If you’re interested in participating, check out their wonderful blog to get the details and the prompts for each week!
This week’s Top 5 Tuesday topic is Books with Fire. This topic was much easier than last week’s topic, but it was still a bit of a struggle to think of books that somehow involve fire.
The Girl Who Drank the Moon by Kelly Barnhill – I included this book in last week’s post, but it also fits this week’s theme. If I remember correctly, a volcano plays an important role in this story.
Exes and O’s by Amy Lea – This is a bit of a stretch, but the male lead in this book is a firefighter, which is fire adjacent enough to be included on this list.
White Smoke by Tiffany D. Jackson – While I wasn’t a huge fan of this book because it was too horror-ish for my liking, it does work for this prompt. There’s at least one scene in this book that involves arson and fire.
With the Fire On High by Elizabeth Acevedo – This is also a bit of a stretch, but this book does involve lots of cooking. It also has the word “fire” in the title which makes it even more fitting.
Twelfth by Janet Key – This middle-grade mystery is fantastic and is a book that everyone who likes middle-grade books should check out. It also fits this week’s topic because it involves a fire.
