Have you ever attempted to repair a damaged book?

I’m not sure how to answer this because it really depends on how you define “damaged book”. I haven’t tried to glue together a torn book or somehow fix a waterlogged book, but I have been known to put a book that’s a bit bent out of shape underneath something heavy to try to even it out again. I’m hoping that I don’t ever find myself in a situation where I have to fix a severely damaged book.
