Weekly Wrap-Up – 18 June 2023

Weekly Wrap Up Banner

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to my weekly wrap-up, where I talk about any bookish or life things that happened during the week.

Weekly Wrap 1

I don’t really have any bookish updates since my last post. I’m almost done Ruin and Rising but not quite.

Weekly Wrap 2

I guess this is the section where I “get real” and stop glossing over things.

Anyone who follows my blog might have noticed a decrease in the quality of my posts over the past few weeks. I’ve been posting every day because I have a blog posting streak going, and I’m worried that if I let go of that streak, everything will fall apart.

Three weeks ago, on May 27th, I had to put my cat down. Scamper was 19 years old and my best friend. There is a massive hole in my heart, and it’s a struggle to function without him. I walk into a room expecting to see him in one of his spots, but he’s not there.

On top of all of that, my aunt has been in the hospital for the past two weeks or so. I did find out today that she’s in a rehabilitation facility, so fingers crossed she’s on the mend.

On top of all of that, my dad has cancer. Statistically speaking, he’ll be fine, but it really does feel like it’s just one thing after another. I don’t really know how I’m holding everything together right now, except if I stop holding things together it’ll be a big mess. I just keep imagining rice or beads or something spilling everywhere if everything falls apart and I certainly don’t have the ability to clean up a mess like that.

All in all, I’m okay. I am managing and coping to the best of my ability, but it’s a lot to juggle at times.
