Today I’m sharing the books I’m hoping to read for the TBR Tackle Challenge this month. In case you missed it, here’s the post outlining the prompts for July!
Starts with M or N
For this prompt, I’m hoping to read The Mapmakers by Tamzin Merchant. I read The Hatmakers earlier this year and I’m looking forward to seeing what Cordelia gets up to in her next adventure.
Red or White on the Cover
For this prompt, I’m hoping to read The Under Dog and Other Stories by Agatha Christie. I’m still hoping to have all of the Poirot books done by the end of this year, which means I have to read two a month to get through them.
Paperback
For this prompt, I’m hoping to read Yellowface by R.F. Kuang. This is the July pick for the book club I’m in and I’m looking forward to reading it because I’ve heard some great things about it. Two of the people in the book club are currently flying through the book and it’s making me even more excited to dive in.
Vacation
For this prompt, I think I’m going to read Royal Holiday by Jasmine Guillory. It’s a bit weird to reach for a Christmas book in July, but I have a mental block where I can’t bring myself to read the fifth and sixth book in this series until I read this book. At least two holiday seasons have passed without me reading it, so I think I have to read it in July.
Grumpy/Sunshine
For this prompt, I think I’m going to read Secretly Yours by Tessa Bailey. This book sounds steamy and fun, and the blurb mentions a starchy professor and a bubbly neighbour, which fits the grumpy/sunshine trope quite well.
