Hello everyone!
Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme created by Bionic Bookworm, and it’s now hosted by Meeghan Reads. If you’re interested in participating, check out their wonderful blog to get the details and the prompts for each week!
The July to September topics haven’t been posted yet, so I’m treating this week like a freebie. This week I’m talking about some of the mysteries on my TBR. This is one of my favourite genres and it was tough narrowing it down to five books.
Everyone In My Family Has Killed Someone by Benjamin Stevenson
This book landed on my TBR because the title is so intriguing. I want to know about the narrator of this book and how everyone in his family has killed someone. The premise of this book sound unique and kind of fun, and I’m looking forward to starting it sometime this year.

One Of Us Is Lying by Karen M. McManus
I’ve been wanting to read this book for a while now. I’ve read two other Karen M. McManus books, The Cousins and You’ll Be The Death of Me, and I loved them. The third book in this trilogy is coming out very soon, and I think this would be a good series to binge. If you’re interested, here’s my review of The Cousins and here’s my review of You’ll Be the Death of Me.

The London Séance Society by Sarah Penner
I read The Lost Apothecary shortly after it came out in 2021 and even though it wasn’t my favourite book, I enjoyed it enough to give Sarah Penner another chance. The London Séance Society is a historical mystery that sounds a little bit spooky and I’m looking forward to checking it out.

Amongst Our Weapons by Ben Aaronovitch
This is the ninth book in the Rivers of London series and I really need to get to it soon. I absolutely adored the first eight books in this series and I love Peter Grant and Inspector Nightingale and all of the magical crimes that go on in London. I’m hoping to get to this one soon because I’m looking forward to revisiting magical London.

A Curious Beginning by Deanna Raybourn
This is another historical mystery that I would like to read. I really don’t know much about this series, but everything I’ve heard about it is great. I’ve heard that the main character is feisty and amazing, I’ve also heard that this series has some quality banter between rivals in it. This is the first book in an eight book series (with book nine scheduled for next year) so it’ll keep me busy for a while.

The Veronica Speedwell series is one of my favorites. I hope you enjoy A Curious Beginning!
