Desert Island Book Tag

Hello Everyone!

Happy Thursday! Today on the blog I’m doing the Desert Island Book Tag. I found this tag on ZeZee with Book’s long list of book tags and it seemed like a fun tag to do. I’m not tagging anyone specific in this one, so if you’re looking for a tag, consider yourself tagged.

Water: A Book You Simply Cannot Live Without

Unsurprisingly, I’m going to pick The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams for this question. This is one of my favourite books and I think my world would be a little less whimsical without this book.

Food: A Book That’s a Close Second on your Favourites List

I think The Hating Game by Sally Thorne is a close second for me. This is the book that got me into romance and romance is now one of my favourite genres.

Shelter: A Book That Makes You Feel Home and Safe

Anything with Hercule Poirot makes me feel home and safe. There’s something about the persnickety Belgian detective that I find comforting.

Flare Gun: A Book That You Would Recommend to a Person Who Doesn’t Read

This is a hard question because it really depends. If I was recommending a book to a non-reader, I would ask them what their interests are. Chances are, I could probably recommend something based on their interests that they might be willing to try.

Fire-Matches: A Book That Warms Your Heart

This is another question that I’m going to give a generic answer to. Any book that has a happily ever after warms my heart. One of the reasons why I enjoy romance so much is because they’re guaranteed to end with a happily ever after, which warms my heart.

Compass: A Book That Directed You Towards Your Love of Reading

I think A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket helped turn me into my reader. When I was in grade 6, my teacher recommended The Bad Beginning to me and the rest is history.
