This week’s topic is book spines! This was a fun topic to write about because there are so many gorgeous spines on my shelves.
I was hoping to take pictures of all the spines I talk about in this post but I haven’t had a chance to do that yet. I’ll update this post in the next day or so with pictures.
Rivers of London Series by Ben Aaronovitch
I love the spines of the Rivers of London series by Ben Aaronovitch. I love the font used for the title and how each book has the title written in a different colour. I also absolutely adore the map of London on the bottom part of the spine.
Well Met series by Jen DeLuca
I’ve always been a fan of the spines on the books for this series. I love the colour choices for the books and how the titles are written in a fun, bold, and colourful way. I also love the little illustrations on the spine, I think they add a fun element to them.
Hercule Poirot series by Agatha Christie
I’m a big fan of the spines of the William Morrow editions of the Poirot books by Agatha Christie. I like how the top part of the spine is one colour and the bottom part is a different colour. I also enjoy the little graphic in the center of the spine. The colour block near the top that says “Poirot” is also fun and appreciated to make it easy to find my favourite detective.
A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder series by Holly Jackson
I love how different the spines are for each book in this series. The strings connecting the different clues on the spine of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, the colour of Good Girl, Bad Blood, and the duct tape on As Good as Dead all look great together sitting on my shelves.
Meet Me At the Lake by Carley Fortune
This is one of my favourite covers of the year and I also love the spine. I love how the sunset wraps around the whole book. I also just love all of the different shades of pink in general.
