Hello Everyone!
The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Crazy-For-Books and is now being hosted by Coffee Addicted Writer.
Every Friday, a new question is posted for bloggers to answer during the week. The purpose of the Book Blogger Hop is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and maybe even receive some new blog followers.
This week’s question is:
Has reading helped you become a better person?
(submitted by Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer)
I don’t really know how to answer this question without getting too philosophical this early on a Saturday. I would like to think I’m a half-decent person and I would like to think that books have something to do with this. There have been studies that say that reading makes people more empathetic, and I like to think that I am an empathetic person. I think reading has also helped expand my world view, allowing me to have experiences that I wouldn’t otherwise be able to have. But ultimately, I’m not sure if reading has made me a better person.

I’m not sure either. However books have given me access to people and places that I would never have otherwise encountered. I hope that this greater experience might make me a better or at least more rounded person
What an interesting question…I bet reading makes us feel more empathetic about a given person’s situation. And I say that because I’m pretty sure I read somewhere that our brain doesn’t exactly know the difference between how we feel about real-life events vs. reading events.
