Weekly Wrap-Up – 1 October 2023

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to my weekly wrap-up, where I talk about any bookish or life things that happened during the week.

This was a very good week for adding books to my TBR. My pre-orders of The Hexologists by Josiah Bancroft and The Undectables by Courtney Smythe arrived this week. I also went to the bookstore this week and picked up Masters of Death by Olive Blake, Gravebooks by J.A. White, Serwa Boateng’s Guide to Vampire Hunting by Roseanne A. Brown, and VenCo by Cherie Dimaline.

As far as reading goes, I did finish Mrs. McGinty’s Dead by Agatha Christie yesterday and I started A Witch’s Guide to Fake Dating A Demon by Sarah Hawley.

This was a pretty uneventful week for me.

Wednesday was the season premiere of Survivor which I was super excited for. Unfortunately, so far I’m not overly thrilled with this season, but I’m cautiously optimistic that it will get better.

Friday night was virtual book club night. The book of the month was Heartless by Marissa Meyer, which was a reread for me. I didn’t finish my reread, but I remembered enough to join in with the discussion.

As far as work goes, this week was pretty chaotic. There was a lot going on in the office and it was a bit stressful at times.
