Top 5 Anticipated Reads for October to December 2023

Hello everyone!

Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme created by Bionic Bookworm, and it’s now hosted by Meeghan Reads. If you’re interested in participating, check out their wonderful blog to get the details and the prompts for each week!

This week’s topic is anticipated reads for October to December 2023. I love the quarterly anticipated releases posts for Top 5 Tuesday because it gives me a chance to explore what books are coming out soon.

Wreck the Halls by Tessa Bailey (October 3, 2023)

I haven’t read a lot of Tessa Bailey books, but I know she’s an author I can reach for when I’m looking for something steamy and fun. This is a standalone, which makes me happy because the sheer amount of romance series on my shelves right now is a bit overwhelming. This book also promises brawling Santas, which sounds like a good time.

Murder and Mamon by Mia P. Manansala (October 17, 2023)

I read Arsenic and Adobo late last year and I enjoyed it enough that I’ve been wanting to continue on with the series. Even though I haven’t gotten around to reading the second and third book in this series, I am looking forward to this book. I also really like the cover of this book, and I especially enjoy how pink it is.

Bookshops & Bonedust by Travis Baldree (November 7, 2023)

Even though I haven’t read Legends & Lattes yet, I’m looking forward to this book. I need more cozy fantasy in my life and this book sounds very cozy. I also love that it sounds like it mostly takes place in a bookshop because I think that’s the perfect setting for a book.

Fancy Meeting You Here by Julie Tieu (November 7, 2023)

This is another romance novel that sounds cute and fun and like the kind of thing I need in my life. The description of this book compares it to 27 Dresses, which I don’t remember much about, but I remember enjoying it. This book also promises a grumpy/sunshine pairing which is one of my favourite tropes.

A Demon’s Guide to Wooing a Witch by Sarah Hawley (November 28, 2023)

I’m currently reading A Witch’s Guide to Fake Dating a Demon and it’s such a fun read. Even though I’m only a few chapters in, I already know that I’m going to want to read more books by this author and continue on with this series.
