Hello Everyone!

Happy Thursday and happy Book Tag day! Today I’m doing the Trick or Treat Round the Block Book Tag. I found this tag on Jo Linsdell’s Spooky Themed Book Tag List. It looks like this tag was created by The Bookish Porcupine.

I’m not tagging anyone specific in this, so if you’re looking for a Halloween book tag to do, consider yourself tagged!

Creepy house on the corner of the street: Book with a creepy cover

I find the cover of Hell Bent by Leigh Bardugo to be incredible creepy. There’s something about the albino rabbit that makes me shudder every time I see it.

Lights out (party poopers): A book you want to read when you want to escape

I tend to reach for middle-grade fantasy when I want to escape. I find middle-grade fantasy books to be so magical and they’re perfect for escaping. The most recent title that comes to mind for this is The Hatmakers by Tamzin Merchant.

The house that gives out the cheap candy: Guilty pleasure book

I don’t consider any type of books to be a guilty pleasure. Books are books and reading is reading and no one should feel ashamed for what they read.

The house with the best decorations on the block: Best haunting/Halloween themed cover

I think the cover of White Smoke by Tiffany D. Jackson is quite haunting. Between the smoke and the haunted house hiding on the cover, it’s very eerie and seasonally appropriate. If you’re interested, here’s my review of White Smoke.

The house that gives out the best candy: #1 Halloween recommendation

The Ex Hex by Erin Sterling is my go to Halloween reading recommendation. It takes place around Halloween, it has witches in it, and it’s a fun and flirty second-chance, lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers romance.

Speed Round:

Corn Maze or Haunted House?

Corn maze, I’m not a fan of scary or creepy things.

Classic or Unique Costume?

Classic costume, I am not very creative in the costume department.

Sexy or Scary Costume?

Neither? I’d rather a cozy costume.

Comedy or Horror Halloween Film?

Comedy Halloween film as I’m not a fan of horror.

Chocolate or Sour Candy?

Sour candy is my favourite, especially sour patch kids.
