November Goals

Hello Everyone!

Am I the only one who is a little overwhelmed that November is already here? 2023 is just flying by and I don’t know where the year has gone.

One thing that I want to try to get back into is doing monthly TBR or goals posts and wrap-ups again. I think they’re a good way to keep a log of things and it’s nice to set some goals for the month and to then take some time to reflect on them at the end of the month. I don’t know if I’ll accomplish any of these goals, but for now I’ll be cautiously optimistic.

Here are my November goals!

I haven’t been reading as much the past few months. I don’t want to go as far as to say that I’ve been in a reading slump, but I haven’t had as much motivation to read lately. I’m hoping that by putting in the effort to read at least a few pages every night, I’ll get back into the swing of things. I’m not setting a specific TBR for the month, but there are a few books that I’d like to get to including Bridge of Souls by Victoria Schwab, A Lot Like Adios by Alexis Daria, and A Study in Drowning by Ava Reid. I’m also hoping to read Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross for book club, and to read a few Poirot books, including After the Funeral and Hickory Dickory Dock.

I want to try to get back into the habit of posting on Instagram again. Instagram is where I started by blogging journey and I want to breathe some life into my account and discover some new bloggers and bookish people on that platform. If you’re interested in following me, I’m @books.are.42 on Instagram.

This is a goal that I have to be careful with, but I want to start paying a bit more attention to my blog stats. I don’t want to check every day, but I do want to check in more often than I do now. I’ve recently been experimenting with SEO and I’ve been using the AIOSEO toolkit when drafting my blog posts. It takes a few months to notice a difference when using SEO, but I’m curious to see how things go.

I want to start getting back into baking again. I have so many cookie recipes that I’ve either pinned or printed out and I want to start making them. When I was in university, I would bake all of the time and I want to get back into it.

How about you? Do you have any goals that you want to accomplish in November?

  1. Good luck with the SEO journey! It took several months (probably at least 4) before I started seeing a “return” on my efforts. I *think* it’s because it might take time for search engines to “capture” your page. But it’s worth it in the end!

  2. I feel you on not reading as much lately. Not a full on slump either but definitely less drawn to it right now than usual. Hope you’re able to get back in the groove soon!
