Hello Everyone!
November has flown by and it’s already time for the December TBR Tackle Challenge prompts to be unveiled!
If you’re new to the TBR Tackle Challenge, it’s a reading challenge that I co-host with from.TBR.to.READ, theartsy_bookworm88, and hplreads. The goal of the challenge is to read the books that you already own and to “tackle your TBR.” Every month, we post five prompts to help you decide what books to read from your existing TBR. You can use the same book for multiple prompts, and you don’t have to pick books for all of the prompts if you don’t want to. The TBR Tackle Challenge started on Instagram, but we’re also on Twitter, Goodreads, and Storygraph. To find out more about even more about the TBR Tackle Challenge here.
Here are the December prompts!

Starts with X, Y, or Z
We’ve finally hit the end of the alphabet! This month we’re tackling “X”, “Y”, and “Z”! Read a book that has a title that starts with either “X”, “Y”, or “Z” for this prompt. It’s up to you how you treat titles that start with “The” or “A”.
Red or Green on the Cover
Tis the season for all things red and green! Read a book with red or green on the cover.
Holiday Read
Read a book that takes place during the holidays. It doesn’t have to be a holiday that usually takes place in December, you can pick whatever holiday you’d like. It also doesn’t have to be a real holiday, if there’s a fictional holiday you want to read about, go for it!
Last Chance Before 2024
Remember all of the books you said you’d definitely read in 2023? Well, 2023 is almost over. This is your last chance to read those books before the end of this year, or else they’re going to get bumped to the 2024 TBR.
Gifted Book
Read a book that someone gifted to you. This can be a book gifted by a friend, a family member, a publisher or author, or from anyone else you can think of.
If you have any questions about the December prompts for the TBR Tackle Challenge, please let me know! Happy TBR Tackling!
