5 Stars – Amazing and Book Hangover Worthy!

For me, a 5-star read is a book that I cannot put down, and it keeps me up at night because I can’t stop thinking about it. These books usually leave me in some sort of daze for a few days (or longer) after I finish them because I don’t know what to do with myself now that the story is over. I usually become slightly obsessed with 5-star reads, and they become favourites that I recommend to everyone.

4 Stars – Really Great Read!

For me, a 4-star read is a really great book. These are books that I loved, but they didn’t quite hit me like a 5-star read does. These are books that are difficult to put down, and that draw me into the story, but they don’t leave me in a daze when I’m done. These are books that I’m going to gush about and recommend to a lot of people, but they aren’t my favourites.

3 Stars – Average Read!

For me, a 3-star read is a book that I liked, but I didn’t love. These are books where there isn’t anything necessarily bad about them, but there also isn’t anything that stands out about them. These are books that I enjoyed, but there wasn’t anything that made them special, they’re just average.

2 Stars – Meh!

For me, a 2-star read is a book that fell flat. These are books where there were a few things that I enjoyed, but overall, I was underwhelmed by it. Some people might love these books because everyone has different tastes, but for me, they just aren’t my cup of tea.

1 Star – Did Not Like!

For me, a 1-star read is a book that I just did not like. I don’t know if I’ll ever give a book a 1-star rating on here because I usually DNF a book if I don’t like it (and I won’t be giving DNFs a star rating).
